dont go blowing ALOT of money on the best camera available right now. You can do just as a good with a cheaper camera.. As I've said before, i've seen some downright terrible images taken by amateurs (and pros) with some of the best cameras available (Canon 1Ds, Nikon D2X etc...) and I've seen some amazing images taken with a simple point and shoot or a disposable camera bought for $5 Just dont go blowing $2k or more on a camera, take some time with a lesser camera , learn the ins and out, learn the basics (f-stop, exposure, ISO, WB, etc) Then step up As for location - sounds good -- be careful not to over expose the white wall -- meter the light for the wall as to not overexpose the wall
